I've always understood that I should not clean regulated (size, limit) type fish and return to fishing with the edible remains in my cooler. The logic is written in the DMF regs somewhere, but I saw several folks cleaning Pups and Flounder on Seaview today, then take the fillets in their cooler and return to fishing. I'm just curious (though I think I know the answer) what your take on this would be if Marine Fisheries comes out checking coolers.
