I went finally returned to NB last night with my son after reading reports that the pier was somewhat orderly. I found the recent reports to be true. There were about 20 folks on the pier and all was well, no profanity or excessive alcohol consumption, just folk fishing. The croaker bite was inconsistant with a few caught here and there. I saw about twenty caught while I was there along with a few white perch and a small flounder. My total for the night 1 white perch. Arrived at 8 left there at 11pm.

Hey finn74, I've found out that the bite at NB is always on the outgoing tide. Try to plan your trips then and you should catch fish. Last night you were on the low incoming tide and the bite is slow at those times. They have cleaned up the pier alot! It's not the madhouse it was last year...Goodluck and tightlines
