I'll be in S. Nags Head in a week and was gonna drop a single pot for catching crabs. I read that the "little bridge" is a good place.

But I'm a curious and adventurous person and was wonder if the little ponds between hwy 12 and the sound behind S. Nags Head would hold crabs. Actually any kind of crabs would do, fiddler and blue. Is that area all marsh land?

thanks

U cannot use a commercial style pot unless you are on your own property unless you have the special license... the ponds you are talking about are knee deep or so. I have seen the occasional bluecrab in them while duck hunting but I wasn't really looking. You shouldn't have any problems cathing a few crabs at any of the bridges. Fiddlers are in the mud bogs

are you looking for bait or crabs to eat ?

a place to catch blue crabs is at the bridge in Colington or any dock you can gain access to , use a crab line or crab trap. U need a license to set crab pots like was said above

Fiddlers are probably in any shore with mud
