Fished in front of the resort on 75th Ave from ~11 PM to 1 AM on the incoming tide. Endured a heavy rain downpour for about 20 minutes. Six dinky croakers and two whiting on the bottom rig with Fishbites, with clam the flavor de jour. Nothing doing on the bucktail with Gulp!.

Fished the same spot from 6 AM-8AM on the outgoing tide. One dinky croaker on EZ Flea FB. Cut him up and caught a 15" bluefish. No action with Gulp, diamond jig or kastmaster. There were a couple of fellas fishing on both sides of me and they did not seem to be fairing any better.

Same spot again. Fished 10:30 PM - 12:30 AM on the flip side of the low tide. 10 dink croakers of FB, nothing on cut bait. Heading back to Raleigh soon with the fam. My expectations were low based on where I knew I would be fishing, but I am not gonna complain about getting in some time on the surf.
