Nice report. What are of MB and how far out was your rig when you hooked up on the red?

I dont know the exact location but it was north myrtle.
A guy on the beach said it was about a 6 mile drive further up to murrels inlet ?

Drum came about 40 yds i guess,about the middle of the channel before the sandbank.

OOPS....sorry , just seen that Murrels Inlet is south of MB.
I thought thats the name the guy mentioned but obviously not

Im not familiar with the area but it was definately in north myrtle beach.
We stayed at the Canana sands hotel and fished across the road from it.

In all likelihood he was referring to Cherry Grove Inlet, which is on the North side of North Myrtle Beach. It's a much smaller marsh inlet than Murrell's Inlet.

He may have been.
I think he mentioned a tackle shop there called Boulineaus or something like that

Boulineau's is definitely in Cherry Grove. I have family members who used to work there......
