Mitchell 302 service?

2119 Views 6 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  buster
I was just given an old Mitchell 302. The reel seems in pretty good condition but there is an intermittent click in the gear train. I can strip a 300 in my sleep after fishing them for years, but the 302 seems a little more complicated and I am getting older.

I would like to send it to someone for service and conversion to a fixed bail. Can anyone recommend someone to do the work.

I have got a lot of modern gear, but it would be fun to put an old school setup into service. This classic reel deserves it!

I fish Mitchell 386/7, 396/7, 486/7, 488/9, 496/7, and 498/9 reels for last 40 years and parts are, and have been available whenever needed.
