Was at the state park pier Tuesday.. The fish board had a 3lb pompano caught 4/16/16 off the pier. I had to ask her if I was reading it right and she said yes the fish was weighed in etc. Had the persons name too.... That seems might big????

If that thing is over 16 inches forked length- perfectly possible. The state record is around 8 pounds.

Have seen many near 4-5 pounds caught off Springmaid. Hell i think people even catch kings off Springmaid and State Park.

Yeah, a three pounder is a big fish by anyone's standards, but certainly not unheard of. Good eatin...
