Was planning to fish the Super Moon but life got in the way, and the weather don't look great anyway, so I decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and make a quick run down this morning and come back tonight. Got out on the sand around 9:30AM, close to low tide. Bite was real slow to start, but there were lots of birds diving farther out. Also saw had a pod of Dolphins loitering about directly in front of us.
Between 1PM and 2PM the bite picked up a little. Caught 2 pretty good sized Bluefish on cut frozen finger mullet, a couple of Puffers and 4 short Black Drum. They bit salted shrimp and Fishbites Bloodworm or EZ Flea. Near high tide the bite seemed to shut off and we started packing up. Saw a tug on the small rod, which was baited with salted shrimp, and got a Flounder surprise.
