The folks are coming back at the end of March so I made a run down Sunday to enjoy the nice weather, soak some bait, and bring some of my gear home before it gets locked away in the RV for 6 months. Pretty slow most of the day, caught two good sized keeper whiting and another smaller one for bait. Had a few more nibbles and lost some bait, so activity is starting to pick back up. Caught those fish on cut mullet, salted shrimp and Fishbites bloodworms. Weather was absolutely gorgeous and the water got noticeably warmer through the day. There were loads of conquina clams at the water line, mostly small, but saw a ton of half shells of larger ones. Could be a good sign for the fish that eat those. Maybe we'll see some sand fleas return this year. :D
