Started out on Friday with cut Bluefish on the big rods. The chunks were being gobbled up by Pinfish but the head managed to stay out there a while until something large came along and started peeling drag. After holding on hopelessly watching the line peel off it snapped. My best guess is a toothy critter. The rest of the day was pretty slow, with a good size puffer, a short Flounder, a few Spots and short Black Drum. Saturday was more of the same, caught a good sized Bluefish early to make bait. Any fresh bait we put out was instantly attacked by Pinfish. I put some smaller hooks on the light rod and managed to snag a few of them to feed back to them.
Even the Spot heads were picked clean every time. Caught a couple more short Black Drum and a Whiting or two, enough to keep it interesting, but at least the weather was perfect!
