....A friend is down for a few days and the water own around Charleston is hanging around 60 - 61 degrees. I was thinking about driving down to Isle of Palms for a little surf or pier fishing. Has anybody been down there lately? Any reports on what they're catching or where?

I am going to be down there this weekend coming down and was thinking about bringing my rod. I'm coming down for work so i'll only be able to fish late. I also would like to know where i can fish in the creek. I'd like to throw a plug for something. Is there a boat landing where boaters wont mind a tourist casting a bit?

Hi Gamecock Surf,

How far are you casting from the surf? Are you on the beach? Are you wearing waders and working the beach from in the water? What bait are you using? What is your rod/reel/line/tackle setup? Sorry for all the questions. I will be at the Isle of Palms May 21-23 and want to be well prepared so any details you can provide, would be greatly appreciated.
