We used to have a couple Bubba's in our local pond. Unfortunately, last time I was there there were some a-holes (pardon the language but poaching ticks me off) who were foul hooking them with trebles right out off their spawning beds. We're non-tidal and it was during the bass closed season as well. It was just me and the kid and about 6 or 7 of them so I didn't feel like pouching my luck. Even if I did approach them, I don't think I would've been able to cross the language barrier. Call Nat. Res. police but by the time they showed up about an hour later they were long gone.
Looking for "BUBBA" - again this year!
Found BUBBA (aka "HOG") at our local community pond last year. Looking for a repeat appearance this year due to the early Spring (Staten Island "Chuck" the groundhog says so!)
