Just checked out Accuweather's long range forecast for the Delmarva beaches.

Supposed to blow hard all the way through October. THIS REALLY BLOWS!!!!!!!!.........literally

It was very calm this past Fri/sat it was downright warm out there despite light winds off the water... Knew that couldn't last but sounds like major change in the weather pattern ...

Glad I have a week at capiva isl. Fla coming up early October.

Howling at IRI today. Still managed a couple short flounder and 1 nice doormat that followed to my feet and out of the water. Bunch of snappers too.

Guess we will have to suck it up and learn to cast into the wind on the beach. Could ruin the fall run, not sure.

Definitely won't ruin it. Only will help. It's too early for the bass to start migrating but I bet they're starting to move. Storms like this trigger movement that's for sure. The ocean up to montauk is in the low 70s and down here mid 70s. NE winds in the fall bring in warm water, but when it's this prolonged I don't know. We will see, but I think the run this year could be better than the last few years. I hope! Can't wait to start hitting jersey.
