As its written right now, unless you're having a pier party with 50 of your closest friends you never met before, youll be fine. There is too much gray area for it to be enforceable so long as you are abiding by the less than 10 people in one spot.

I'll be out there when time allows.

Does this clear it up for those who want to look for loopholes?

Under the executive order, no Marylander should leave their home except for an essential reason. Therefore, recreational boating is not allowed. Subsistence hunting and fishing — limited hunting and limited recreational fishing and crabbing for sustenance — can continue, however social distancing must be adhered to strictly. No permits for fishing tournaments, including virtual tournaments, will be issued by the department until further notice. Commercial fishing is deemed essential and may continue since it is part of the food supply chain.

The state parks may be closed, but the ramps remain open. Sandy Point and Assateague ramps are open.

I completely agree with Catman on this. Yes, boat ramps are still opened and so on. Hell, I can go to PAX/NAS and have the entire area to myself but this is serious stuff and the risk is not worth it. The fish ain't going anywhere.

BTW, not sure I like this new format.

Since Matapeake and Romancoke are managed by Queen Anne County, you may need to contact them. But, I recommend fellow anglers to just heed the Governor's plea and stay home.
Trust me on this, it is killing me I can't go fishing but it's so easy to let your guard down. I've heard one million times about avoid touching our face. Last week, me and my wife went out to stock up on essentials and I must have wiped my face multiple times while out shopping. We'll, I was lucky the virus wasn't that bad last week. I just heard confirmed cases just 5 minutes from where I live.

Imagine you need to pick up bait from a tackle shop, or pick up something to eat, or fill up gas. Things may look innocent enough but it takes very little to compromise you and your family's lives. Oh yeah, the worse part is getting Eugene sick.

Man, I think I hate this new look!!! This is why I don't have FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, and the rest of the nonsense apps because this is what it reminds me of.

Well I see little to zero risk fishing following the simple guide lines , However I drove by Waysons Corner and there was several on that little pier Smh , I was at the Indian River inlet Sat and people were well spaced , I hope they open the Beach as there is plenty of room this time of yr heck even in the dead of summer truck to truck your much farther apart than 6 foot , I simply don't see any problem , It is a terrible time but a good time to go thru your gear , re spool , tie rigs , watch videos to learn new things , Salt Strong is a great site to learn all kinds of info for example , ,
Stay safe fish on under the guidelines and all will be back to normal before long

Thats right. You can go , But before you can do anything you have to stay in self quarantine for 14 days. They are stopping out of state tags. If you have a De License and live in DE your good to go., your ok. But if you live in another state and have a summer home there , don't go unless your licence has the summer home address on it. If you quarentine in a hotel you better have a recipt for 14 days. Tight lines.

Straight outta “Master and Commander: Far Side of the World” (2003) -

Capt. Jack Aubrey : “Mr. Mowett, change of course. Southeast by east. We'll intercept the Acheron and we'll escort them into Valparaiso.
2nd Lt. William Mowett : Aye, sir. Sou'east by east.
Capt. Jack Aubrey : And William?
2nd Lt. William Mowett : Sir?
Capt. Jack Aubrey : Beat to quarters.
2nd Lt. William Mowett : Very good, sir.
Dr. Stephen Maturin : [looking at his map of the Galapagos] "Subject to the requirements of the service."
Capt. Jack Aubrey : Ah... Well, Stephen, the bird's flightless?
Dr. Stephen Maturin : Yes.
Capt. Jack Aubrey : It's not going anywhere.“

Let me say first, I am a senior fisherman. Second, Governor Hogan is correct to shut down recreational fishing at this time thus -

“Recreational Fishing and Boating Prohibition The Maryland Department of Natural that under Governor Larry Hogan’s Stay at Home order, recreational fishing and boating are prohibited activities. Limited exceptions exist only for individuals who fish as a matter of sustenance. In all cases, catch-and-release fishing is strictly prohibited anywhere in Maryland. The executive order states that no Maryland resident should leave their home unless it is for an essential job or for an essential reason, such as obtaining food or medicine, seeking urgent medical attention, or for other necessary purposes. The governor’s executive order is in place until further notice and the intent is simple: stay home unless you absolutely must leave. The COVID-19 pandemic is a serious global health crisis and the number of confirmed cases and deaths in Maryland rises everyday. Risking unnecessary exposure is not just a hazard for you -- it puts law enforcement, emergency responders, seniors, and vulnerable populations in danger. We will save lives by doing the right thing and simply staying home. For any questions, please refer to the department's website.“

All one has to do is see this also caused by a virus 🦠-

Those who ignore history are destined to repeat it. This wildfire
WILL happen in waves until the virus runs out of hosts to carry it.
