TQ,

Mendaden is the cotten candy of the sea in that just about pert near everything (especially Red Drum), except phytophlankton love'em.

You will need to secure live ones via castnet, snag rig, good friends, or purchase as they are rarely caught (read snagged) on bottom rigs.

Most OBX bait & tackle shops will have fresh Mendaden/Bunker/Fatback/Pogies on ice for your cut bait endeavors so get ya some.

Go fish, have at it, and enjoy the Outer Banks,

`bucket
