I was under the impression that I could fish the bay/tributaries in MD with my VA saltwater lisence (and vice versa). Is this true?

Thanks-

True both ways. As long as you carry a Tidal/Bay Sport (for MD) or Saltwater (for Va) designation on your license then you are permitted to fish the Chesapeake Bay and all of it's tributaries. Be careful on the Potomac though, above the Woodrow Wilson Bridge you will need a D.C. license.

Check out the Va MRC licensing page here

Thanks, Joey, you just saved me quite a bit of money since I was planning on buying an out-of-state MD license this weekend when I had already bought my $7.50 VA license.
