Previously on my spinning rigs I used strictly Fire Line admiring it's strength. Slowly I've started to use Berkleys Iron Silk. I undersand now why the bait shops say it's jumping off the shelves. The stuff is really smooth casting & strong. This morning I loaded my Abu Garcia bait caster with it and it works great.
I think, all in all, Berkley Big Game is the best stuff for the heavers. I tried Sufix TriTanium Plus but it didn't seem to be quite as durable. A lot of people seem to like it though.
On my spinner, I have gotten quite fond of PowerPro. It casts very well and it lasts forever. However, I only use it for fishing lures. I don't know how it is for bait fishing.
