A friend of mine always fishes with Va saltwater license and he fishes all over Maryland too..he told be that you can also fish Chesapeake bay including my favorite fishing hole Point Lookout.
I always purchase saltwater for Md and Virginia. When fish in point Lookout game warden always check bayside because they say you can fish Potomac side without a license....Can someone please clear out all facts from fictions? Can I really get away with Va saltwater license in md water?

Yes, you can fish the entire bay with either a Md bay license or a Va bay license. There are tidal lines in all the feeder creeks and rivers that will require a license for that state above the line. That includes the feeder creeks etc on the Potomac. Best to check with a local bait store on license requirements if you stray too far from the bay. Granpa
