So Rockhead I guess you were on Duck Inn side. I met a guy out there the other night and he said somebody was catchin black drum on that side. I was a little surprised to hear they were there, but then again I'm still a greenie. I thought they stayed offshore, I guess not. That's cool!

maybe that guy was me? yea the bigger ones stay out farther, but there seem to be plenty in th 5-7lb range nearshore

how are you catching them over there, what bait and where on duck inn side are you fishing?

put a piece of crab on a simple bottom type rig (whatever you like) home made is better as you WILL get hung on the bottom.
and 3/4 to 2oz of lead (depending on current) now you sling it out right on/next to the pilings. hope you get a bite before you get snagged. once you drift away from pilings reel in and do it again
