I have caught MANY stripers on FIN S. I have caught them on everything from the 2 inch versions right up to the gigantic eel looking sizes. To tell the truth I prefer the smaller sizes, especially this time of year.
I like to use the 2 1/2"and 4" ones on 1/4-1/2oz jig heads.I catch Stripers,Trout, and Summer Flounder on them.Never tried the larger ones ,but they'll work. The best colors are Alewife, white, and grey w/ silver metalflake.
I've had more luck with them in the fall than in the spring. The fish seem to be much more lethargic in the spring and don't chase lures as much. But in the fall, the pearl white is my favorite color and favorite lure for stripers. They're also great for flounder.
