Fished from 8am-12pm (incoming tide, low @ 0541 high @ 1159). Caught 4 red drum, 3 white perch, 1 speckled trout, and 1 eel. Red drums were 17, 16, and 15 inch and trout was 10. Most were caught on shrimp, but there were a couple caught with squid. Was shore fishing close to Thole Street.

I'm not a big fan of dealing with eels, I usually just cut the hook off and let them go. Need to find a 5-8 foot pole with something like scissors on the end so I can do that without having to land them....like a wicked sharp extendable pole saw.

Eels are a bit squirmy...a Hook Out usually does the job. It's also good for swallowed hooks which are retrieved through the gills.
