Why is there very little mention of Kiptopeake Pier? I thought that it is one of the best fishing piers, but unfortunately it is a four hour drive one way for me as I live in Maryland. I have to assume that most of the Virginia fisherman live in Norfolk, and that they don't want to pay the tunnel toll.
I have been there many times and seems like just right spot to catch flounders and weakfish. Then again, it's $20 for a round trip plus bait,ice,parking,blah..blah..blah
I live in Virginia, so when i go down there I don't really care for extra $20 here and there but to locals with many knowledge of honey holes all around Virginia beach area...perhaps $ 20 round trip is a luxury they can live with out....
