a friend of mine said he saw 15 pound cobia caught from kiptopeake fishing pier.. Is it common to catch cobia from tis pier? I know that pier is great place to catch flounder and trout although you might catch one keeper for every 10 fish or so,,,,
From what i have been told, if you want Cobia go to Buckroe beach near Hampton Roads. There is a pier there and they say that Cobia are pulled in on a daily basis. I plan on heading there this summer.

"remember, the further you cast the longer it takes to bring the big ones in.
Daily?? Maybe not, but they do catch there share. I do just as well off Seagull and Grandview with less than half the BS. Don't get me wrong it's a fantastic pier but some of the people that go there I can't deal with. I have found that the people that fish Seagull and Grandview are eaiser to get along with and on Seagull there is so much more room.
