No experience this far north but I'm guessing since it's north of the bend probably not too active.
Just curious if anything knows if any surf action is going on, maybe at least the sound side bridge?
I'm thinks n maybe stray pups,specks, puffers in the surf? Striper on the sound?

I can't give you a hands on report, there is a tackle shop in that area called ''TJ's" (??), actually they may have 2 locations, I bought a reel there many years ago, I think they were around mile marker 14 along the main drag, they might have a report for you. I'd say you are thinking correctly about some fish in the surf or sound, I personally wouldn't be that close to the ocean and not take a rod, good luck, let us know how you did, and Merry Christmas to you also.

TW's gives daily fishing reports and I find the reports to be honest.

They are including fish in Avon, Buxton area so read carefully.

When they say inlet they mean Oregon inlet.

I've been reading tws for awhile and like you said most reports are from down Avon/buxton area. Just got in tonight but heard of a few small blues in the surf. Will give it a go tomorrow and report back if anything doing.

Soaked fresh mullet in kill devil hills today. 2 skate on the falling tide, nada after that
