I heard that mid way thru one of yesterday's newscasts. By the time the new was going off, they updated that the kayaker's body had been recovered.
Sad indeed. P&Surfers always come to mind when I hear about local kayak and small boat mishaps.
Someone was found off Princess Anne Road day before yesterday in water.
I believe it was a branch of the Elizabeth River. Didn't know those water's ran into Va Beach.

That is very sad news. The water temps are still below 70 degrees. Falling into water that cold can still give your body a shock when you hit the water & cant get out quickly. Not having a pfd on, you have a lot less chance of recovering. Besides the lakes and some of the marsh flats, all of the waters in the area have strong currents. I see people all of the time when I am out kayaking that aren't wearing a pfd. It's not worth your life.
