I am comming in town for the weekend sometime friday night. Is the JRB having any luck? I got some meeting sat and sun but was hopeing to wet my line friday night at least if not some more. if anything what are they pulling up there?

In the Newport News Daily Press this AM (3.28.03) the Outdoor Columnist says that large croaker are in the Lower James River. I don't know if the Lower James River encompasses the JRB Pier or not.

Also, water temps continue to rise at Sewells Point 54 degrees right now, and Gloucester Pier is at 57 degrees.

I got to sneek out Friday night. Caught 25 croaker 5 catfish. KEPT about 4 croaker the smallest of the keepers was 1.5 pounds. Was out there for about 2 hours. brought 2 rods had to cut back and use only one they where hitting both hooks on the bottom rig on both rods just ran out of arms. I was useing shrimp mostly with a few squid strips thrown on every so often
