Has anyone fished it yet, and was it worth it?? It's always crowded. Thx guys

I eat at the Crab Shack a lot and every time I walk out to see the catch of the day. So take this observation with a grain of salt. I have not personally fished the pier this year. All I see is croaker and crabs being caught. IMO, it's not worth the $9. You can catch that anywhere. Plus, like you said... it is way too crowded (especially on the weekends).

Agreed. I was out a few weeks ago and didn't catch much. I'd go to Buckroe, Lynnhaven or the VB Pier instead. Bigger variety of fish.

Better than nothing haha. Honestly I haven't had too much luck with piers in this area for a while.

A few weeks ago I tried calling the pier but got a recording. I don't know how deep the water is but it might be worth it if there are some big croakers. The small stuff you can catch anywhere for free.
