Went out to the JRB saturday night to kill a few hours. Caught one small spot, one croaker, one oyster toad, and about 20 or so eels. Those damn things seemed only to go after my line. My fishing budy no less than 4 feet away from me never caught one but i spent most of the night trying to untangle my line from those slimmy things. It Was a great night out there cool with a slight breeze.

You probably should have complained

to the pier staff. After all, it is their job to pick up those old discarded wads of chewing gum that keeps an angler stuck fishing in one spot all night.

But seriously, JRB is a good pier. Just gotta find the right spot. Not all was lost with those eels though.....they can be frozen and used for stripers when the season opens up.
