Hello P & S! I know it's been a while since I posted anything but I have been busy with school. Trying o get finished up. Anywho I decided to take a break from my edumacation last night and went out on a whim trip, and fished the base for about four hours 8-12pm. Caught a bunch of pups with with 3 or 4 keepers mixed in. I caught a few freshwater white perch as I was fishing in a brackish canal. But I would say that my highlight of the night would be the couple of respectable size black drum I caught. We're not talking CBBT black drum were talking about the ones that are still good to eat. I was hoping the striper would chew, but no such luck they were only interested in the mullet that are still lingering. Either way it wasn't a bad night. Here are a couple pics of the black drum we were catching as compared to the runts I normally catch lol.

757 I was at NOB, and the canal is on the air side of the base right before you go out of gate 4. It's the next parking lot that you can turn into right after the base chapel. There is a high fence around the canal with barbed wire at the top. It's kinda tricky to fish but worth it when the fish are biting there.

That's a night time spot if you fish there during the day the people in the building are probably going to call the cops. If you fish there at night the cops ride by but the don't bother you as long as your not trying to climb the fence, trashing the area or no one calls thems and complains.
