Anyone have any facts on how PLO fared with Isabel?
Are the Causeway and Pier still there? Another thread ion this board suggests that PLO may be closed til next year????
Went there today, my buddy Andy asked Darlene (game warden) how extensive was the damage. The answer was not promising.
The causeway is underwater, and the rocks are washed out. She said that it was going to take anywhere from 3-6 month? On the good note, the pier is still there. :jawdrop:
That is really not a suprise. PLO is a great place to fish but is in a bad position when it comes to high water, wind and flooding.
I would love to see some pictures from that area.
My daughter is on the St. Mary's College (just down the road from the park ) newspaper staff. She and another staff member went to the park to do a story for their newspaper.
There was a big sign near the entrance to the campground that said "Closed Indefinetly".
They talked to a park ranger and made arrangements to return next week to have a tour of the park with a ranger. She will also take pictures.
I'll post pics when I get them from her.
That would be great. I really want to see what happened down there.
