Is there any place to fish this weekend?

All state run parks are closed until further notice.

You don't list a location, but you can rule out any pier fishing in DelMarVa area. Any pier that wasn't lost or damaged will have to undergo a structural examination. The lingering winds will probably keep most headboats in (at least through Saturday.) Any spots that are open will likely be overcrowded. If the Choptank bride/piers reopen, they should be great for catfish due to the influx of freshwater into the river. If the surf settles, you might want to try clam bellies for stripers -- they'll be looking for broken shellfish after all the turbulence....

The Jersey Coast appeared to be calming pretty quickly on the 6 PM news...I am awaiting a call from a friend about fishing out of Fortescue, NJ Saturday PM..or Sunday AM..Tight Lines To All! Murphman

Man you DO like to travel! Fort-o-screw may not be the best choice. Lots of flooding in the Delaware Valley (even before Isabelle), so the water is likely to be dirty. Fishing was finally beginning to pick up in that part of Delaware Bay before all this hit the fan. Last I heard most fishermen were picking through spike weakies, trying to find enough 13 inchers to fill an eight fish limit. Lots of croakers (hardhead), but not the size you Chessie guys are used to. There's no creel limit in NJ, and folks have been taking 100+ fish home....
