Hey guys,

I am amateur fisherman from Canada and a couple years I hooked a monster barracuda on the intercoastal in Pompano. Question. How do I release a beast of that size from a dock at low tide or should I just cut the line as close to its mouth as possible. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated because I am coming down from Canada in August and do not want a repeat performance.

Thanks

:)

LOOOONG needle nose pliers is what I've used before.

Or you can just let it on the dock and remove the hook after it dies. Here in Flagler/Daytona area that is what most people do as we like using chunks of barracuda for shark bait. Makes excellent shark bait.
