So we've had about 7 inches of rain in the last 5 days and we sit in the Neuse River basin. I guess the Tar, Chowan and Roanoke rivers have had the same or similar amounts. Forecasts say up to another 12" or more is coming in the next 5 days. What does flooding in all these rivers do to the NC sound fisheries and, if anything, how long will the impact last?
I know the coastal flooding and beach erosion have been horrible on the OBX recently too. I'm wondering if all these combined factors are going to push the fish out earlier or change their migration patterns in any way?
