If you would normally surf fish on opening day or opening weekend, does the new size limit of 35" or larger change your decision?

Nope. Many 35+ have been caught from the surf in the past few weeks.

I think you'll see fewer meat fishermen and more true sport anglers out on the water. Which is a good thing.

Where were all these true fisherman during the last few weeks? They didnt have to wait till today. I saw 20 times more people this morning than then I did the past 30 trips I've been out recently.

For many of us rock fish season doesn't start until May 16th when the spawn is over. No need to stress those big roe females.
