I have a dozen finger mullet and a dozen mud minnows in a 2 gallon cooler with an aerator will they last until tomorrow morning or do I need to add fresh sea water

fresh sea water would help a great deal if it is easily accessable.
a larger cooler would be nice - the aerator will make them last much, much longer.
add a frozen water bottle to keep the water cool - or some ice cubes in a zip-top bag.

may all your baby mullets be gobbled up by something BIG !!!

Your mullet may be dead by now. Your mud minnows (killifish?), will live in original water if kept cool. Remove dead mullet first
