will a 17' Carolina Skiff with a 60 hp motor with tilt and trim actually fish? Will it make it in those knee-deep creeks? Thnx

I have an old Carolina Skiff thats 18 feet long. I run two bait wells on it with a total of three batteries and a 90 horse merc on the back. I will float in about 10 inches of water with the motor at full up. I use an old 74lb thrust minnkota as a trolling motor and have found very few places that fish get that I can't. Keep in mind additional people may lower you in the water but mine with two people does the above.

I think you posted on RDT as well.. If you are going to Hatteras with that boat. It will work fine,and can draft 14 inches it won't matter.. Meaning:use common sense,the Pamlico has some spots out there that muddy or stained water will hide from the naked eye,and you could be left high and dry...
