My scanner has "upload" to the web" (HP) software but I'm still having a heck of a time getting it to work. Guess this thing must be more complicated than a power plant.....

You have cable access, so you have webspace available to upload.

In your starter kit, the information to do this should be included, if not, then a phone number to call for help in doing so.

It is not difficult, once you are set up.
