I am going to be in Myrtle Beach in about 2 weeks. I keep reading about how cold the water is this year and how bad the fishing is. Is there anything in the surf (blues, reds, whiting, pomps, catfish, anything)? I know the kings are around in Sept. Anything else off the piers. I have been keeping track of this site and have not seen too many fishing reports. Is anyone catching anything? Also, are there any bait fish in the surf?

Any info will be appreciated.

Sharks are pretty much a stand-by if you want to catch something right now. We are having unseasonably cold, and dirty water here. Flounder, blues, maybe trout, maybe kings (I doubt it:rolleyes: ), the usual bottom feeders. Not much happening right now in the way of fishing.
