Hey guys. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. I was wondering if KN is any good in the spring? I usually only fish around the bay bridge in the spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to fishing with some of you guys this year. Good luck everyone and tight lines!!!

KN report??....there is none. I use the Park n Ride under the bridge every week day. Haven;'t seen a soul out there.
Guess it ain't happening as of yet. I'm sure big Stripers use that as a passage way up to the spawning grounds. Nobody fishing it during the day.
Probably poachers at nite though.

Yes you can fish for catch and release rockfish in the KN. I think you might catch a few this time of year there. We use to.http://dnr2.maryland.gov/fisheries/pages/map2.aspx
Oops, I missed out on that one from memory. You are right.

KN- can be hot in the summer and fall, but always crowded in the keeping season from shore and very snaggy. I will fish there if I happen to be crossing the BB for whatever reason, but never leaving my happy grounds to go there.

Thanks. I wish I had a "happy" place to fish. I've only been fishing in the tidal area a few years and my frequented spots are usually very crowded with some not so experienced anglers. I like keeping my catch but the trick is I have to catch something first. I'll take catching over keeping any day. My son and I carp fish with absolutely no intention of keeping them. Still a fun fight . I appreciate the info.

I don't freshwater fish in MD. I fish for carp in the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers in WV. If you are near Williamsport dam #4 is a great place for carp. Also excellent walleye And catfishing there. I usually fish around Harper's ferry for carp.

Not going fishing this morning, so I will join in. Use to be you had to drive around to find good spots to fish from shore. Now with computers and GPS in your truck/car you can find good spots along any river, or creek. Just find a Latitude-longitude site on computer, type in the area you want to check out. Like upper Choptank Greensboro MD. Then you can move the map all up and down the river, and zero in on good looking spots. Put the latitude-longitude numbers in your GPS, and drive to the spot. That is what I do. I found some good spots to fish this way. You all probably know this already, but I have nothing to do. Tired of fishing in this cold windy weather.
