Is anything biting up at Henlopen these days? I am thinking of heading up there this weekend. If nothing is biting up at Henlopen can anybody recommend any Delaware/Maryland hotspots. I am looking to catch flounder, trout, croakers, and some spots.
there is a youth tournament on the pier on saturday. it will be crowded in the a.m. on sat. evening the tide i about 8 p.m. should be good for croakers, and spot. my suggestion is to get bloodworms if you know where as the are in short supply. they are also being caught on small pieces of chocken, and squid.
I was getting them on small bits of surf clam. The shop at the pier has them, but they are frozen. I like live or salted best, but they are hard to find in Delmarva after the drum bite dies. Clam is a super bait though, and much cheaper than bloods. You might also try some frozen bait shrimp.
