I use a 9' sealine-x 2pc 1-5oz w/5500ss spooled w/30# hi-vis yellow PP within 1/16th of the spool edge. I use a alberto knot (pp doubled) to tie on a 40# shock leader with a 150# snap-swivel at the end. I then attach a hi-lo (2 dropper loops) using a 25# mono leader with 3 oz bank at the end of the leader.
I have no helicopters but I get messed up when the alberto knot goes thru my guides. On more than one occassion, my cast became an out of control weapon or I've lost my rigs. I've also tried the uni to uni with similar results. Is it my line selection, casting technique, guides??? What am I doing wrong?
thanks in advance...
ps: I don't know if it's a bad batch, but the 30# hi-vis yellow PP is a piece of &*(^. I've used the darker color in 30# w/o problems. I dunno what's up w/this line.
