Now that is awesome. I figured someone would be doing that soon. I can't see hovering like an anchor rod for very long, It seems like a better idea to take a bait way out on a float and drop it. Another idea is to follow a pod of menhaden around and keep your bait right beside it. But as soon as this becomes a popular idea, you're going to have a serious air traffic control problem. It will be a sad day when you lose control of that $$$ drone over the water. Not to mention polluting your favorite fishing spot with lithium batteries.

That's awesome. Is it legal right now in SC? If it is I could see a law being made fairly quickly if it became popular. Would work for sharking too.

All of the people posting in the comments section of the video amuse me. Catching fish 1 by 1 with a drone is not what's going to deplete the stocks. The equipment is far too expensive and specialized for it to ever make commercial sense. In any case, the lawmakers will outlaw it soon enough. It already is apparently outlawed in NC.
