I am going down with my parents and some of there friends from years ago and my wife and kids. Looking forward to spending time with lines in the water. Question for the Hatteras guys, are there any sharks hanging around this time of year? Or water temp dropped too much? I got a few new toys I want to bring and try out.

Best sharking I've had there is between Christmas and new years. There's plenty around in Oct.

Should be garbos aka sandtigers,as well as brown aka sandbars around.. Used to catch big hammers that time of year,but haven't seen those around till close to Christmas as Gilly pointed out..
