The sound side flooding was the worst I have ever seen in almost 30 years. Here is a video from Brigands bay that shows the water come up and recede over the day of the storm,. We ended up loosing our dock.

Next to Emily,it had more water than has been seen down here in MANY years.. Many,including myself underestimated this storm.. I'm lucky my better half hogtied and lassoed everything,and we took vehicles to high ground!!

The water goes away quickly.. Only thing you have to worry about is another one coming down the pipe.. This IS Hatteras,ya know??

49 is a 2 foot deep swamp. 55 has trees down but supposedly they were cleaned up today. Was too busy cleaning up my own mess to get out.
