I have two of them I think its a nine and ten footer or eight and nine. I got them as a gift and have never used them. Probably due to their small guides. Most of the time I forget I own them. I once again found them last month when I was getting all my gear ready for obx. I was thinking of using them for casting metal and plugs.

I like mine

I've got a 9' and a 10' both medium heavy UEGA action. They are very versatile.

Contrary to popular opinion

Not everyone is impressed with the "flavor of the month" cork tape butt on the UEHA models.

And, believe it or not, there's more to rod performance, than just casting distance.

And finally, if you can believe the reel manufacturers, the newer style, small diameter reel spools, are supposed to cast better thru the smaller guides.

I haven't experimented with that aspect enough to have reached a firm conclusion, but I suspect that very limp, braided line, on a reel with a small diameter spool, might cast smoother thru the smaller guides.
