Fished later in the afternoon. It was very windy. White caps at the end of the pier. Grass everywhere. Managed one spot, one trout, a sand perch and too many small croakers. Caught on squid.

Bob,
Mostly small croakers but if you want some pullage they are there. They are biting Fishbites as well as squid and shrimp. Hoping for a decent weekend to hit the beach.

Those croaker look perfect bait size. Ever put one on a Carolina rig and dragged it up and down the pier around the pilings?

Certainly worth a try. Saw a lot of silversides and small minnows. Have caught flounder with a silverside. Caught a couple small flounder this year on squid.
