I've been using lag "J" hooks to hang up my surf rods on the ceiling in my little fishing building, anyone have a simple yet easy way to hang them, and where you do not have to move a number of rods to take down just one rod. I'm moving the rods and unscrewing all the lag hooks and drilling new holes is feasible, but I thought someone on the forum would have a better idea, I have approximately 15 rods, 14' thru 8'. I remember Joe Moore (One More Cast) in Avon, NC had many rods on the ceiling but I was too busy BS'n to take note how he hung them, thanks.

I store all my rods on the ceiling or walls. I took plastic u shaped holders that are used for holding pipe or conduit. Not sure what they are called but you can get them at any hardware store. They have 2 holes in them to screw to the wall to ceiling. I take 2 in one's and screw to the cieling for the butt to slide in and put small j hooks for rod to rest in. Space them out so I can get to each one. On the walls I screw a couple furing strip to the wall and then crew the 2 in holders in. Then I take small er holders and cut them in half and screw them in to hold the rods. The furing strip keep the rods away from the wall so your reels don't hit the wall.
