Hit the pier at Gloucester from around 5pm through 7:30pm (decided here instead of Lynnhaven after Graphix's early post today).

Nothing going on but wind. Saw a couple of small spot - a couple of croakers (decent size, but still probably less than a pound), and maybe a half dozen croaker.

Pier was pretty crowded. Water was dirty, but at least not much grass. Wind was cold.

I didn't catch anything - until my VERY LAST cast. I threw out an old frozen spot head that I'd kept, and right as I was bringing it in for the last time, I caught a big oyster toad on it! :jawdrop:

What a way to end the day.

At least I wasn't skunked!! :D

That was supposed to say "and maybe a half dozen flounder (baby size)" .... not "and a half dozen croaker."
