Fished the surf this evening for a couple of hours. Tried fresh shrimp I caught this morning, sand fleas, menhaden, mullet, and sand flea fish bites. Slack tide so I didn't expect much and I didn't get much. One small whiting on the fish bites. First time I have used other than blood worm flavor. Something did bite my largest menhaden in half. Looked like a bluefish bite. I am down all week so I am optimistic things will pick up. Did go to Crazy Sister to see flounder tournament weigh in. Saw some nice fish so I will probably hit the jetty at least one day. Just saw the trout pic from Springmaid. That inspired me for sure.

At least you have a week to try and figure it out......one thing's for sure, you can't catch em if you don't go.
