Was wondering if it's worth hitting the surf in Garden City by the north jetty???? I was looking at Google Earth and there doesn't seem to be any parking or easy access without going through private yards. I'm not terribly familiar with that area any suggestions or advice? Thanks

Fish off a pier...JMO....The hassle . the distance, parking, certain tides. etc....I use to go the the south jetty via HSBP . More people will chime in..many posts on the north side jetty..

It's some of the best fishing around but has its disadvantages.
You will get stuck at high tide, 1/2 mile walk if you go all the way and you have to carry a cart down some steps.
Usually for 2 hours give or take either side of high the entrance will be flooded by the tide.
You can park on Dolphin street, walk down to a guard shack and turn left at the beach access that's it.
